Lovely news from a film I worked on late last year - Nest, directed by filmmaker and illustrator Chris brake is currently showing at film festivals abroad, including in Egypt, Berkeley, and Berlin. Make sure to catch it if you spot it (or the above poster) in your festival listings!
A big cheers to Funny or Die for featuring our web series episode 'Let's Get Naked' on their front page this month. We're stoked to have no had over 15k views and discover some enlightening viewer comments . This little gem has popped out of the works from Breaking Point Flix; an episode for their new Web Series, Let's Do It. Directed by Bradley Porter, Let's Get Naked is a 'comedic' take on...well actually I can't tell you. That would only give it away. What I can tell you is that it's in post-production, co-stars the lovely Behnam Taheri, and features some uncomfortably funny VFX. Brace yourselves!
If you haven't checked it out, we're hovering on the funny end. For now...
Before heading back to Sydney last December to soak up some Christmas rays, I had the wonderful chance to catch up with an old Film mate and help realise his newest short. Based in Australia but shot in London, Darrio Stangl's The Forger follows Debbie, a rough around the edges Aussie pub patron who's used to tourists blowing into town. When British tourist Mark walks through her door, The Forger comes alive. Stay tuned for festival details through 2017!
This month I had the chance to do something absolutely unique in a film by the talented Illustrator Chris Brake. In Nest I play the Raven, a woman who is just as much bird as human. Her husband's wish is to be just like her. Trouble is, she wants to be just like him... This very short short will be released...shortly.
Endurance, the audio drama, is now available to purchase online. I'm chuffed to have been a part of this production and work with the very talented team, joining a cast of over 30. In Episode 5 I play May, a french doctor chosen to represent us after making the ultimate sacrifice.
12 People have been chosen - chosen to represent us. But what have they been chosen for and who is the mysterious Colonel Orion? This is the epic story of each of the chosen ones as they strive to reach the ENDURANCE but lurking behind every closet is a skeleton waiting to be discovered. This clever, exciting and bold new audio drama series takes you on a pioneering journey to discover humanity in all it's forms...
Fishbowl will be screening in Westminster this 24th August followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. I can't be there, but you can! Register online to secure your spot and you'll have the chance to watch our little short, amongst another LSF film, and grill our director (Ryan Hogan) and the guys from Grizzly Visuals.
But first, let's keep it G-rated. It's been a busy summer so far and this little gem has popped out of the works from Breaking Point Flix; an episode for their new Web Series, Let's Do It.
I'm super excited and humbled to be heading up to the Lake District and Wales this September to shoot a new independent comedy feature, Toy Men, written by George Miles and directed by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou. This pair have been making films together for some time, and I'll be joining a cast of brilliant actors, including Lucy Parmiter, Jamie Satterthwaite, and Richard Summers-Calvert. Although I can't mention a lot about Toy Men, it's a wholly original and genius script, making up the third film from Pinpoint Films. Their first feature, Shopping Channels (below), is currently in post-production.
